Connections rules.

The essentials

• You must be 13 or over. Ages and identities are not verified.
• Your profile stays private until you choose to publish it. A published profile is visible to anyone.
• You can decline or block an introduction without reading it. Reading a request does not share your contact details.
• Only share contact details if you are comfortable. If you are under 18, involve a parent or trusted adult.
• Use Report for anything worrying, including grooming or an account belonging to someone under 13. Reports go to AUDEX, not the person reported.

What Connections is

An opt-in public musician directory, opportunity board and private introduction tool. You do not need released music or a Spotify artist account. Confirm you are at least 13 before publishing a Connections profile. This declaration does not verify your identity or age. Privacy and request controls apply to everyone; this is not a verified-age or child-only community.

Publish carefully

Use accurate names, skills and opportunity details. Do not impersonate people or imply verification by AUDEX. Published profiles and opportunities can be viewed without an account. Local discovery is optional: only enter a town and broad area, never a street address, postcode or precise whereabouts. Remote profiles do not need a location. Share only links and material you are entitled to use.

Work, payment and safety

Clearly describe whether an opportunity is paid, unpaid or payment is to be discussed. AUDEX does not verify employers or musicians, arrange contracts, handle payment or guarantee work. Agree expectations and any payment separately before starting. Do not ask for upfront payments, passwords, ID documents or sensitive personal details. Check external links and independently verify who you are dealing with. For local meetings, use a public place, tell someone you trust and do not share your home address.

Private introductions

One introduction can be sent per opportunity. Recipients may decline or block a request without opening it. The private message stays hidden until the recipient actively chooses to read it. Reading does not share contact details. Only after a separate acceptance are the contact details both participants explicitly choose shared with each other. Your sign-in email is not shared automatically. You may explicitly choose an email address, phone number or HTTPS link to share. There are no attachments or ongoing chat in this release. If you are under 18, involve a parent or trusted adult before sharing contact details, accepting work or arranging meetings. Never meet someone alone, share your home or school address, send intimate images or send money to someone you do not trust. Further conversations take place through the external contact channel you choose, under that service’s rules. Blocking hides introductions and contact details between the two accounts and prevents new introductions; limited previews of skills, opportunity types and broad locations can still be seen by anonymous visitors. Information already copied or shared off-platform cannot be recalled by a block.

Content and conduct

No harassment, threats, bullying, hate, sexual or exploitative content, scams, discrimination, spam, privacy violations, illegal content or infringement of rights. Do not encourage, promote or give instructions for suicide, self-harm, eating disorders, serious violence, harmful substance use or dangerous stunts and challenges. Do not groom, sexually solicit, exploit or pressure anyone, including children. Do not arrange secret contact, ask a child to hide communication from a parent or trusted adult, evade account restrictions or use Connections for dating or non-musical solicitation. No files or image/audio uploads are supported.

Reports, restrictions and appeals

Signed-in users can report profiles, opportunities and introductions. Reports go to AUDEX administration, not the person reported. Anyone can also contact support to report content or raise a complaint. For grooming, suspected under-13 accounts or risks to a child, select Child safety / grooming or use the public support form. Do not request or send ID documents. Include the page link and enough information to identify the issue, but do not send illegal images or unnecessary sensitive information. Reports are reviewed in light of their seriousness and context; a report is not proof of a breach. AUDEX may hide content, close opportunities, remove introductions or restrict artist accounts. You can request a review through support. If there is immediate danger, contact emergency services.

Availability and your information

Opportunities expire after 30 days and may be closed earlier. You may make your profile undiscoverable in Connections settings; this also stops new introductions to your opportunities while it is private. This does not automatically erase existing private introduction records. Close posts that are no longer relevant. Technical limits may change to prevent abuse and keep the service reliable.
